U need timing, rhythm, coordination, tone and fluidity. U want it to sound like a harp!

You need the right process to get that sound — not more random practice.

Be honest…

How often do you say, “Wow I really suck at piano … so I’m gonna draw these notes in — Ok, that didn’t work. This other producer said just use loops?!”

How often do you compare yourself to better producers or piano playing musicians and feel discouraged?

How often do you get lost in Youtube videos, only to end up more confused?

Does this sound familiar?

I gotta buy some more software that can do chords and runs.
I’ll just use AI – I don’t have a sound – I sound like the loops I buy mixed with AI (hey that’s rhymes – I could be a rapper too).
I can’t actually play a song, let alone write one.
I have 17 subscriptions services – I just spent $500.

Here’s are some truths:

(1)  the piano doesn’t lie. U can either play … or U can’t.

(2)  U will never be able to play if you don’t start.

(3)  There are many producers who make beats and don’t play. There are zero producers that make beats and don’t play — who don’t wish they knew how to play the piano better.

(4)  U are trying to run a business.

(5)  Everyone is not gonna blow up.

By now, you’re saying this guy sounds like a real negative Nancy. Hear me out :

So what do great gospel players have in common?

They value originality.
Let’s go back to number 4.
Let’s go back to number 5.
You need to start somewhere and have a process that saves you time, money and a headache.
I grew up in a era where DJ’s would put black tape over the record they were playing at the party so other Dj’s couldn’t walk up to the stage and find the beat.
The only way I can justify giving away the information I’m about to share on this site is that this is what I would tell my 11 year old son – Jevon. This is everything I figured out over the last 2 decades about music production, playing an instrument (the piano specifically but not limited to), running a business (online or brick/mortar), songwriting and the entertainment industry.
I’m kinda old now so yeah I’mma keep it a bean (lol).
